"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give" ~W. Churchill

✈ Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, besides skiing I have three loves: travel, video production and helping others.

✈ I’ve spent more than 20 years traveling around the globe (79 countries across 6 continents...the missing one is Antarctica, if you’re wondering), shooting and editing travel/tourism videos for various cruise lines, airlines, and tourist boards. These projects presented several amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences and the chance to see the amazing world we live in.

✈ 2003, I settled “on land” in South Florida to create and run a new video department within a local publishing company specializing in Cruise Line travel. As the Director of Broadcast Operations, my primary responsibilities were to write, shoot, produce, and edit commercials for high end clients. I also produced a series of podcasts — one of the first travel-related podcasts to be features on iTunes.

2006, I was hired as a Senior Producer/Editor with the original team that launched PlumTV Ch 5 in South Beach. A network with sister stations located in The Hampton’s Aspen, Vail, Telluride, Nantucket, Sun Vally and Martha’s Vineyard. In addition to directing the morning show, “Daybreak,” I produced numerous documentaries about the unique people and places in South Florida.
I also helped in developing and producing an eleven episode cooking show entitled “Compliments of the Chef,” and participated in exclusive coverage of Art Basel Miami Beach and The South Beach Food and Wine Festival. I also created exclusive commercials for various high-end companies like Duchamp Jewelers, Cigarette Racing boats, Richard Bertrum Yacht Brokers, famous designer Tui Pranich, the International Polo Club Palm Beach

And jewelry designers to the stars, Citrine by the Stones.

While at Plum, my work was nominated for six Emmys and we won three. YEA! :-)

The idea of helping companies that help others really appealed to me and giving back is a huge part of my life ~ I throughly enjoyed creating award winning charity videos for
Kids in Distress and Shake-a-Leg Miami

✈ 2008 earthXplorer productions official started, specializing in travel related productions as well as charity videos, commercials, corporate videos & documentaries.

After embracing Social media back in 2006, I was very excited to learn, I had won the 2011 shorty Award in Travel:

Travel Shorty Award Winner

Finalists and fans flew in from around the world to attend the event that has been called the Oscars of Twitter.

I was nominated with some very amazing people and companies and had no idea I was even in the running let alone win. So regretfully I did not attend the ceremony in New York City where I would have received the award from Daily Show correspondent Aasif Mandvi who was the 3rd annual Shorty Awards host.

✈ After twenty years in the business, I continue to seek new opportunities for growth and adventure. My work has been honored with numerous international and local awards. Please contact me (earthXplorer at gmail dot com) about your next adventure or video project and together we will make your dream into reality.

✈ Even though I consider myself a "visual visionary" (tongue in cheek) I have been asked to contribute to various travel related blog's, websites and magazines:
