The Colorful Cooling Towers in Soweto, South Africa / by JD Andrews

The Orlando Power Station, with its distinctive cooling towers, is an old coal fired power station in Soweto, South Africa. It was decommissioned in 1998 after 56 years of service.

One tower is an advertising billboard and the other is the largest mural painting in South Africa. For the adventurous types, the towers are also used for bungee and BASE jumping from 100m (328ft) up.
