The Beautiful Palau de la Musica Catalana - Barcelona / by JD Andrews

Along with six travel bloggers, I was invited to Barcelona Spain by Catalonia tourism for the Catalunya Experience!

We all got to tour the city and see the amazing architecture that Barcelona is famous for - including the Beautiful Palau de la Musica Catalana.

It opened in February 1908 and was the home of the Orfeó Català.

The only concert venue in this style to be listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (4th December 1977), which today represents an essential landmark in the cultural and social life of Catalonia.

For over a hundred years, It has been the privileged setting for the musical life, both national and international, of the city of Barcelona.

An architectural jewel of Catalan Art Nouveau.

Built between 1905 and 1908 by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner as the base for the Orfeó Català

The Concert Auditorium is one of the most distinctive in the world.
