Called one of the roughest stretches of water in the world, the Drake Passage is a 'right of passage' for any eXplorer to the Antarctic. Two full days of rough seas in the middle of nowhere. 90% of the passengers onboard my trip were seasick. Both days were rough but like any good story, at the end of the second day, the winds subsided and the seas calmed down as the sun started to set and for the first time in two days, I could see land! (or at least rock formations) From that night forward, we had nothing but blue skies and calm seas.....until we started back through the Passage.
